Are Women’s Sheepskin Slippers Waterproof?
Sheepskin is a natural material and while is does repel water, making the slippers water resistant, it does not make them waterproof. Water will come in through the stitch holes if you go out in the rain. Eventually the water will seep through the material itself, so we would not recommend walking in rain or snow in them.
Are Women’s Sheepskin Slippers Hard Wearing
Yes, both the sole material, which is made from thermoplastic rubber, and the natural sheepskin uppers, are extremely durable. Sheepskin is the natural skin of a sheep and will give many years of wear if you look after it.
How Do I Look After Women’s Sheepskin Slippers?
If the slippers do get wet, then the best solution is to stuff them with tissue paper, newspaper or a clean dry cloth and leave them to dry naturally. If they get dirty then mop with a damp cloth or use a light sheepskin cleaner if the staining is bad. This natural material does not respond well to harsh treatment so fluids like Scotchgard are not recommended as they will destroy the natural oils in the skin.
